ACOG’s Medical Student Team hosted a webinar titled Choosing a Career in Obstetrics and Gynecology, featuring speakers Nyima S. Ali, MD, FACOG; Iman K. Berrahou, MD; Eduardo F. Estrella, MD, FACOG; Samantha P. Nadella, MD, FACOG; and Todd A. Pankratz, MD, FACOG. This session focused on choosing obstetrics and gynecology as a career, with panel discussions providing insights into building a successful career in obstetrics and gynecology. Topics included succeeding in clerkships, sub-internships, residency selection, residency interviews, and ob-gyn residency and fellowships.

The objectives for this webinar were …

• Provide a forum for medical students to interact and network with other medical students, ob-gyn residents, subspecialty fellows, faculty, and program directors
• Provide medical student participants with insights regarding residency and fellowship training and practice issues related to careers in obstetrics and gynecology
• Provide medical student participants with insights regarding what it takes to succeed in their ob-gyn clerkships, sub-internships, residency selection, and residency interviews
