The Darney-Landy Fellow position at ACOG is a one-year placement for obstetrician–gynecologists with fellowship training in complex family planning. It honors the clinical excellence of Phil Darney, MD, MSc, FACOG, and the collaborative advocacy of Uta Landy, PhD.
Rachel Jensen, MD, FACOG, (she/her) is an ob-gyn and subspecialist in complex family planning. She earned both her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, followed by fellowship training in complex family planning at the University of North Carolina, during which she served as ACOG District IV Junior Fellow legislative chair and American Medical Association representative.
Drawing on her fellowship experience in the Southeast, Dr. Jensen is a passionate educator and vocal advocate for expanding access to justice-informed reproductive health care. Her clinical and research interests focus on the provision of compassionate, patient-centered family planning care and understanding the ways in which legislative and institutional policies shape care delivery.
