You probably don’t need hormone testing. Your ob-gyn should be able to tell if you are in perimenopause based on your age, your symptoms, and any changes you have in your periods.

But if you are younger than 45 and have changes in menstrual bleeding, you may be offered a blood test to check your hormone levels, and especially if you are younger than 40. Your ob-gyn can review the results to see if you are experiencing premature or early menopause.
