About the CREOG Inclusive Excellence Program
The CREOG Inclusive Excellence Program will take a five-year approach to systematic program development that centers inclusive excellence. Each year will center on an area for curriculum development known to promote a work and learning environment centered around inclusive excellence as modeled by the NIH work of Ten Hagen et al.

The CREOG Inclusive Excellence Program will host a series of webinars to be delivered over the course of the year centering the topic of the year. The second year’s topic is Demonstrable Leadership Support.

Program Resources and Content
Award Opportunities
The CREOG Inclusive Excellence Program is seeking applications from OBGYN Program Directors, OBGYN Faculty or OBGYN Residents mentored by OBGYN Faculty seeking to pilot projects that center the year 2 topics – leading self, leading others, and leading change. A total of up to six awards (each of $2000) will be announced roughly 8 weeks after the application deadline. Awards (2 per webinar at $2000 each) will be distributed for projects selected by the Advisory Team to support travel to present the project at a CREOG event (CREOG / APGO Annual Meeting {CAAM} or CREOG Education Retreat). Applications for each webinar may be submitted on a rolling basis after the webinar concludes, up to the final deadline of October 12, 2026.
Award recipients must ...
- Propose, develop and pilot a curricular program that:
- centers a webinar topic- leading self, leading others, leading change
- pilots the proposed curriculum with measurable results within an 18-month period of award receipt
- is piloted in an OBGYN residency and at least 1 other residency program, either of another specialty at home institution OR an OBGYN residency program at another institution - encouraged but not mandatory
- Write up the curriculum project and the results of the pilot for presentation at either the CREOG and APGO Annual Meeting or the CREOG Education Retreat
- Provide confirmation of manuscript submission within 18 months of award receipt
- Submit required progress reports to CREOG Inclusive Excellence Leadership Team:
- 6 month and 12-month project progress reports
- Final project report with above deliverables included
Award recipients will have 18 months to complete the work.
Final Review
Final review of the piloted curricular project will be performed by the CREOG Education Committee and CREOG Inclusive Excellence Advisory Team. The project will be reviewed to assess candidacy for posting on the CREOG Educational website as a resource for use by residency programs.

Applications are due by October 12, 2026.
